Sicomi Community and Content Rules (Preview)

Version 0.6 · Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Last updated 2026-10-26

Sicomi is a home for serious, original storytelling made with AI. Dark, violent and grown-up stories are welcome. These rules apply to every title, episode, trailer, poster, profile, comment and message on Sicomi, and to everyone who uses it. They are part of the Preview Terms and the Founding Creator Preview Agreement. These rules are issued by 1984 Management Company Inc., doing business as Sicomi ("Sicomi", "we", "us").

Every episode is reviewed by a person before it goes live. If something here is unclear, ask creators@sicomi.com before you upload.

1. Never allowed (removed at once, account closed)

1.1 Child sexual abuse material. Zero tolerance. No sexual or sexualised depiction of anyone under 18, or anyone who appears to be under 18, in any form: filmed, drawn, animated or AI-generated, including "childlike" characters described as adults. We check uploads with automated hash-matching (including Microsoft PhotoDNA) against known child sexual abuse material, and a person reviews every episode before it goes live. Apparent child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires, and the account is closed.

1.2 Sexually explicit content. No pornography or sexually explicit content at any rating, including AI-generated content. Non-graphic romance and implied intimacy are allowed within the rating rules.

1.3 Intimate images or deepfakes of real people without consent. No nude, sexual or intimate images of a real person, real or AI-made, without their consent. Requests go to safety@sicomi.com or sicomi.com/report-intimate-images. We hide the content on a valid request and remove it, with known identical copies, within 48 hours.

1.4 Terrorism and violent extremism. No content that promotes, recruits for or praises violent extremist groups or attacks.

1.5 Real-world threats and doxxing. No credible threats, and no posting of someone's private information.

2. Real people

2.1 A realistic depiction, imitation or voice of an identifiable real person, including by AI, needs that person's signed consent, kept on file and shown to us on request (Real-Person Consent and Release). Clearly labelled parody or commentary about public figures is reviewed case by case by a person.

2.2 A real person under 18 may appear only with a signed parent or guardian release, and never in a sexual, nude or sexualised context.

2.3 No impersonating another creator, studio, brand or person, and no misleading claims about who made a title or what you did on it (section 4B).

3. Ratings

3.1 Each episode gets a rating from its creator: All ages, 7+, 13+ or 16+. During the Preview, 16+ is the highest rating. 18+ Mature titles can be saved as private drafts for the public launch. A title shows its strictest episode's rating.

3.2 16+ allows strong violence, strong language, frightening scenes and mature themes, with no sexual explicitness and no gratuitous gore designed to shock.

3.3 Our scan and reviewer check each rating. If an episode needs a higher rating than you chose, we will ask you to change the rating or the cut ("Changes needed"). If it would need 18+, it cannot be published in the Preview.

4. AI labels

4.1 Every title shows an AI label based on your disclosure: which AI tools were used and for what, and whether it includes synthetic people, voices or likenesses of real people.

4.2 You confirm the label each time you submit for review and again after any material change (a new cut, audio, poster, dub or episode).

4.3 Dubs carry an honest audio label: original, lip-synced dub or voice-only dub.

Enforcement: a missing or wrong label means Changes needed before publishing. A label deliberately falsified counts as a strike (section 8).

4A. Introductions and Extras

These rules apply when Studio offers introduction videos ("Meet the maker") and Extras (behind-the-scenes and making-of videos).

4A.1 Intro label. Every introduction carries the label you pick: Real footage (filmed with a camera; no AI change to your face, body or voice), AI-generated introduction or Mixed. Viewers see it before and during play.

4A.2 AI shows only you. AI in an introduction may show only you, made from your own face or voice, [or a clearly stylised AI presenter that looks like no real person]. No fake team members, fans, reviewers or studios, and no other real person's face or voice.

4A.3 Other people. Anyone featured needs a signed release (section 2). No one under 18 in an introduction. Real children in Extras only with a parent or guardian release, never named or located, and never in an Extra rated above 13+.

4A.4 Ratings. Introductions are rated no higher than 13+. Each Extra is rated like any upload and marked "Extra".

4A.5 No earnings claims, no links, no payment asks. Don't say or show what you or anyone earns. No web addresses, QR codes, payment or tip requests or promo codes; saying your social handle aloud is fine. Paid, gifted or affiliate tool deals aren't allowed in intros, or in Extras during the Preview. A plain "Made with [tool]" credit is fine. Once deals are allowed in Extras, say and show "Gifted by [Brand]" or "Paid promotion: [Brand]".

4A.6 Review. A person reviews your first introduction before anyone sees it.

Enforcement: a missing or wrong label or rating means Changes needed. A knowingly false label, a fabricated person or someone shown without consent is a strike (section 8); impersonating a real person is a serious breach.

4B. Your profile: credits, awards, press and links

These rules apply when Studio offers the expanded creator profile. Everything on your profile is optional. Whatever you add must be true.

4B.1 Labels. Each credit, award, press quote and link shows a label that only Sicomi sets: Verified (we checked it against a named source on a stated date; it does not mean we or the festival endorse the work), Self-reported (you added it and we haven't checked it) or Disputed (someone challenged it; hidden while a person decides). Never describe a Self-reported item as verified.

4B.2 Credits. Credit only work you actually did, and say what you did ("Director", "Editor", "AI pipeline"). Work that isn't on Sicomi is listed as text, marked "Not on Sicomi", with no poster, still, trailer or logo. If someone else owns the work, don't suggest you do.

4B.3 Festivals and awards. Text only for now: no laurel artwork, festival logos or statuette images. Give the festival, category and year. "Official Selection" means you were actually selected, not that you submitted or were listed on a pay-to-enter site; "Winner" means you actually won. "Award-winning" needs at least one Verified award.

4B.4 Press quotes. Word for word, up to 40 words, with the outlet, date and a working link. Up to 5 on your profile and 3 per title. No changing the meaning with "...", no joining sentences from different places, no star ratings, review scores, outlet logos or critic photos. No quotes from coverage you paid for or got in return for anything, no reviews you or an AI wrote, and say so if the reviewer is connected to you.

4B.5 People you work with. Name collaborators as they appear in the work's credits. We link to their Sicomi page only after they accept your tag, and they can remove it at any time or ask us to show only their role. Never add someone's photo, contact details or private information. No one under 18 is tagged, linked or pictured; credit them by stage name or first name only, with a parent or guardian's OK. Credit AI-generated performers as characters, never as real actors. A real person's voice or likeness needs a signed release (section 2).

4B.6 Craft. "Made with [tool]" is fine as plain text. No tool logos. If you got anything from a tool maker (credits, a perk, an affiliate code), don't list that tool in Craft during the Preview.

4B.7 Links. Links appear only in your Elsewhere row: up to [5], each to an account or site you have shown you control, from the services Studio offers. Not allowed: payment, tip, donation, fan-funding, crowdfunding or subscription sites; crypto; adult, gambling, malware or phishing sites; link shorteners, redirects and link-in-bio pages; messaging or group invites; file and download hosts. We remove tracking, affiliate and referral codes. No web addresses, QR codes, payment handles or promo codes in your bio or other profile text. You can still post your work anywhere else; these rules only cover what your Sicomi page links to.

4B.8 Kids. On Kids pages your profile shows only your name, a short Kids-checked bio and your Kids titles. No links, off-platform credits, press or awards.

4B.9 Images and text. Profile text and images must suit a 13+ audience. Location is city or country only. No personal email or phone number. Your photo must be you (or your clearly labelled AI likeness), not someone else.

4B.10 Review. A person reviews your first profile publish before its new sections show; your basic page stays up meanwhile. Changes to your name, handle, photo or links may be reviewed, and changes made within 7 days of a password, email or two-step sign-in change may be held for up to 24 hours to protect your account.

Enforcement: a wrong or unclear item means we hide it or ask you to fix it. Claiming someone else's work or role, a made-up award, a fake or altered press quote, or a forged "verified" proof is a strike (section 8). Impersonating another creator, forging evidence or a link to a scam or adult site is a serious breach.

4C. Characters and their social accounts

*Planned. This section takes effect only when Sicomi links a character's social account from its character page, ranks characters, or features a character. Until then nothing is linked.*

These rules apply to a social account (X, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube) that speaks as one of your Characters and that you ask Sicomi to link or feature. Sicomi does not police the internet. It links, ranks and features only accounts that follow them, and it stops when they don't.

4C.1 It is an AI character, made by you. You own and run the account. The bio says "AI character by @[you]" and "Made with AI". It never says or hints that the Character is a real person.

4C.2 If a fan asks, say so. To "are you real?" or "is this AI?" the answer is always that the Character is a fictional character, made with AI by you. Never claim to be human.

4C.3 Turn on the AI label. Switch on the platform's AI label on every post with realistic AI images, video or voice. Put "Made with AI" in every video caption. On Facebook use a Page, not a personal profile. If posting is automated on X, use X's automated-account label. Never remove content credentials or watermarks.

4C.4 Fiction is fiction. Don't present AI footage as real: no "leaked", "caught on camera", news or real-interview framing. No real politics, elections or news events in character. Don't claim earnings, health or money results.

4C.5 Never pose as someone else. The Character is never a real person, a business, a government body or Sicomi staff, and never uses a real person's name, face or voice. Don't run an account that pretends to be another creator's Character. A fan account says "fan account, not by [creator]". Sicomi links only the owner's account.

4C.6 No money asks. No tips, gifts, paid messages, crypto, "support me" or payment links in character. The one call to action is Sicomi.

4C.7 No sponsored or gifted posts from a Character's account during the Preview. A Character never reviews, rates or says it has used a product, service or someone else's work. No bought followers, views or comments, and no networks of accounts praising each other.

4C.8 Fans. No romantic, flirtatious or sexual contact with fans, and no "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" framing. Don't start private messages. Stop at once if a fan seems to be under 18. No automated replies or chatbots speaking as the Character. You may reply yourself, in public, in character, following 4C.2.

4C.9 Young characters. A Character who is, or looks, under 18 is never shown in romantic or sexual content anywhere, and Sicomi does not link, rank or feature it. Characters from Kids titles get no social links. No account may be aimed at children, and YouTube's "made for kids" setting is No.

4C.10 13+ only. Everything on a linked account stays at 13+. A Character offered sexually anywhere else is not linked or featured.

4C.11 We check. A person checks an account before it is linked, again each month, and when the handle changes (the link is hidden until rechecked).

Enforcement: a missing label or bio line means a fix notice (7 days). A claim of being real, a money ask, an undisclosed ad or a fan-romance breach means the link comes down at once and a warning or strike (section 8). Anything involving a young-looking character, a real person's face or voice, or taking fans' money is a serious breach.

5. Music, footage and other people's work

5.1 Upload only what you made or have the rights to use: music, sound effects, footage, fonts, characters and artwork. Licensed stock and libraries are fine; keep your licence.

5.2 No look-alikes or sound-alikes of existing franchise characters or songs without permission.

5.3 Copyright claims follow our DMCA Policy, including the repeat-infringer policy.

Enforcement: uncleared material means Changes needed or removal; confirmed infringement is a copyright strike under the DMCA Policy.

6. Re-uploads and stolen work

6.1 Upload only your own work. Re-uploading someone else's title, in whole or in large part, is not allowed, even with changes.

6.2 While automated re-upload protection is not yet on, a person checks each title's first episode, including a reverse-image search of the poster and stills.

6.3 When automated re-upload protection is on: if a live title is a near-total copy (80% or more matching, with very high confidence) of verified work or of something on our block list, it may be hidden automatically for up to 24 hours while a person checks it. A hide is not a removal and not a strike. We tell the uploader at once that the hide was automated, which work it matched, and how to dispute it. If no person has decided within 24 hours, the title comes back. Only a person can remove a title or give a strike. Smaller matches never hide a live title; a person reviews them.

7. Other rules

  • Hate and harassment: no attacks on people for who they are (race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or similar), and no targeted harassment. Stories may depict bigotry; they may not promote it.
  • Self-harm: no content that encourages or instructs self-harm or suicide. Stories may deal with these themes carefully, with a content note.
  • Dangerous and illegal acts: no instructions for weapons, drugs or serious crimes, and no selling of illegal goods or services.
  • Flashing lights: add a warning to any title with strong flashing or strobing.
  • Spam and fake activity: no fake views, ratings or accounts, and no buying or trading invites.
  • Sponsorships: no paid sponsorships, paid product placement, affiliate links or contests in titles, introductions or Extras during the Preview.
  • Invites: invite links are personal. Don't post them publicly or sell them.

8. What happens when a rule is broken

Reasons. We tell you what we did, which rule applied and how to appeal, unless the law forbids it or it would put someone at risk.

Appeals. Reply to our message within 30 days. During the Preview the founder decides appeals: the founder looks at the decision again at least 48 hours after it was made and answers within 14 days. Once our updated Privacy Policy is posted, the founder may also get a second opinion from an AI tool; if one is used, we tell you. The AI tool only gives an opinion; a person makes the decision.

9. Reporting

Use the Report button on any title, episode or creator page, or write to:

  • safety@sicomi.com: child safety, intimate images without consent, threats, real-person likeness without consent;
  • dmca@sicomi.com: copyright;
  • support@sicomi.com: anything else.

On creator pages you can report: pretending to be someone else; this isn't their work; I didn't work on this or remove my name; false award or festival claim; fake, altered or misquoted press quote; link goes to a scam, payment or adult site; uses my face or voice; shows private information; hateful or harassing text; child safety (hidden at once; also write to safety@sicomi.com). A quoted writer or outlet can also write to support@sicomi.com; we hide the quote while we check, within 7 days at most. There is no Report button on Kids pages; parents can write to safety@sicomi.com.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. You can also report child exploitation directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org.
